The Family Stage is a "no-badge venue" for all to enjoy, with lots of activities for kids: face painting, games, clowns, and of course, great music by the youngsters—all out in the open air.
You'll have an opportunity to see young talent from all over the place — from Canada, Southern California, Colorado and various points around California — interspersed with other festival bands. Next Generation returnees include TNT, the J Street Jazz Cats, Mission Bay High School, Raisin Babies, Take 2, Sax by Popular Demand and the Syncopating Sea-Monkeys (among others).
Children, young and old, have the opportunity for hands-on experience with musical instruments. In addition to face painting by Cheek Thrills, Family Stage vendors include Leatherby's Ice Cream (ice cream cones and sundaes), Lumpkin's Dirty Dogs (old-fashioned hot dogs, chips and sodas) and Rainbow Snow (corn dogs, fries, onion rings and shaved ice). All this plus upbeat music to keep the little dancers happy.

In 2010 we presented these bands and more!
